The game long called Zelda breath of the wild 2 is now Tears of kingdom. Not because we changed our name, but because before the official announcement, we had confirmation that it's the sequel to breath of the wild.

In my opinion yes. Tears of the Kingdom is the direct sequel to Zelda Breath of the Wild (BOTW). Long called BOTW 2, its official name is now Tear of the Kingdom.
