Golden Kamuy, a anime which I recommend if you are looking for a story full of twists and turns and rich in culture of an indigenous people living in Japan and Russia.
I discovered this anime a bit by chance in one of my favorite anime streaming sites. What made me decide to watch it is the abundance of the number of episodes and season (going up to season 4).
It may seem superficial but the number of episodes and seasons of an anime says a lot about the duration of happiness (if the anime is interesting) that awaits me.
In this post I introduce you to the Golden Kamuy anime which is a story about a pretty bloody gold rush. Treason, alliance, armed combat and above all comedy. Everything is there for your enjoyment.

Golden Kamuy Anime Synopsis
Saichi Sugimoto was a hero of the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905.
Nicknamed "Sugimoto the Immortal" for his fighting spirit, he survived countless battles but, at the end of the war, he found himself alone and penniless.
He then learns of the existence of a treasure of 75 kg of gold accumulated by the Ainu and hidden by the "Faceless", a man held in a prison in Hokkaido.
The latter makes tattoos that allow the location of the treasure to be found on criminals before helping them to escape. After hearing this story,
Sugimoto decides to go in search of the loot with the help of a young Ainu named Asirpa, who lost her father because of this gold. Together, they will go in search of the treasure with different goals, but they are not the only ones to covet it.
My opinion on the anime Golden Kamuy
Golden Kamuy is a mature anime that marked everyone who saw it before me with the quality of its storytelling (and comedy). Nothing is left to chance.
Many characters as insignificant as they appear the first time have become over the course of the story, important and sometimes endearing people.
It's hard to tell everything without spoiling.
We will get there !
What may displease you is that the anime sometimes seems like a documentary about the culture and cuisine of the Ainu people.
I don't know if it's the same in his manga, but the author spends a little too much time talking about the lifestyle of the Ainu people. He goes further by describing in detail most of their traditional cooking recipes.
Personally it didn't bother me too much because I was also interested. The anime's story moves neither too slowly nor too quickly. But the pacing is enough to add depth to the characters and events.
Again, the comedy scenes are truly GOLD!!
The best way to watch Golden Kamuy anime is to embrace the pace it sets on you.
A story that comes out of nowhere can frustrate you at first, but if you keep patience, you will find that story to be essential and crucial to understanding the sequel or the importance of a key character in the arc that immediately follows.
This anime made a good impression on me!!
